The Basics Required For Internet Marketing

May 11th, 2008

In today’s internet, it is not unusual to hear of someone who has been online for awhile, learns what works and what doesn’t, and starts a brand new site, does everything right, and makes a lot of money online in just a few weeks.

Yet you have been struggling to get anywhere, barely earning enough to buy an ice cream ! Instead you waste endless dollars buying into the next best thing that promises everything.

So, how is it done then ?

You must have your very own web site, where you control all the content. You must also be able to look at web traffic statistics to know what is working when and how. If you do not know how to program there are plenty of good site builder type programs to help you. Templates are available that you can modify for your own needs.

You must start a lead collection system on your web site. Use an auto responder to send these leads messages in the days following. Treat these leads like they are family or friends.

You will develop a long term relationship with the people on your list, teaching them what you know about your field, sending them useful information, and they in turn, will send you money to purchase your products.

Once you have a lead collection system in place, you must send visitor traffic to your site. There are a variety of techniques for achieving this. Yes it takes time. From writing articles, blogging and even pay per click methods.

After you begin developing a prospect list, you must develop a relationship with the people on the list. Send them useful information. Sales messages can come later.

You should have already identified a product to sell. If you do not, consider affiliate marketing. In this way, you promote another person’s product and save yourself all the time required to produce your own product.

Get started. It will be easy to rearrange how you do things. Nothing beats trying badly than sitting around waiting to get better. It is action that produces the result!

Aiming to Have More Visitors to Your Site? Use Newsletters!

May 11th, 2008

Aiming to Have More Visitors to Your Site?  Use Newsletters!

It is a known fact that using newsletters to post advertisements is still a more effective method in getting more clients when compared to blogs, PPC or RSS. Studies also show that newsletters with opt-in features make the most number of closed deals. Even with printed media, newsletters have always been proven to be effective in delivering messages across to potential readers. In the case of an online newsletter, it aims to reach out to the target market.

A newsletter is a good way of not only establishing a potential relationship with customers but also in keeping them. Once they opt-in and they receive your newsletters regularly, then you have some clout with them.  Whether they read the contents or not, the mere fact that they see the company name, logo and the contact details each time will subconsciously remind them that they can do business with you.

An electronic mail newsletter aims to do these things: establish contacts, maintain those customers and to have a constant interaction with them. It should also contain the latest things about your site what new products you are launching, discounts, and other opportunities. A newsletter should never miss to attract the attention of a potential buyer or a repeat customer.

Aside from these basics, the newsletter should boast of the best assets of the site. Whatever makes it stand out from among other sites should be highlighted. Also, don’t forget to emphasize the achievements (shown in numbers). The presentation of the message should be engaging so that the reader wouldn’t be bored. Avoid long, dull paragraphs that explain too many details. Offer great tips that would make reading the newsletter worthwhile. Also, you should know your clients lines of interest.

The newsletter should also be personal. Marketing any type of product or service on the net requires a personal touch, most especially when you would like to establish a band of loyal customers. But the professionalism should not be sacrificed. The presentation should be able to balance both aspects.

Once you have a steady flow of customers and some loyal ones as well, its time to follow up.  Always be up on your toes to maintain their faithfulness. Communicate constantly and don’t forget to thank the loyal ones with simple freebies (its may be a small act but it will surely be remembered).

Spreading the message about your site requires dedication and a little artistry. With the help of such methods as writing newsletters; getting customers can be both fun and financially rewarding.

Trade Show Display Regenerative Marketing Campaigns

May 10th, 2008

What exactly is re-occuring marketing? A very good question, indeed. Regenerative marketing has evolved from the combination of 3 very powerful marketing tools: tradeshows, the internet website, and digital video. How these three elements combine to both maximize and extend a marketing plan is truly a thing of beauty!

Far too many exhibitors are happy to use the me-too marketing approach. With shows that attract hundreds or even thousands of exhibitors, there are very few that seem to stand out from the crowd. Most companies that exhibit at trade show exhibits
do so in the form of the industry standard, namely, get a exhibit, set up a trade show display, print some graphics for the backwall, and hope that the personnel working the booth are engaging enough to catch the attendees attention and effectively communicate the main message for the show, etc, etc, etc.

Your display should leave a strong impression of what makes you different and why visitors should buy from you. One way to accomplish this is with video production. Using digital video in a booth does 3 things:

First, it shows your company in the best possible light, with video streaming images of the home office, examples of a new product or service in use, or even an interview with a company principal sharing the vision of the future and the benefits of doing business with you.

Second, it adds the element of motion. Well developed video digital video uses movement, sound, color, and creative editing. These elements are a primary factor in attracting attention from passing traffic.

Third, it gives you an extra salesperson in your booth, a salesperson who gives the same, “perfect presentation”, every time. You can be distracted talking to a prospect and miss other potential customers while engaged in conversation. Digital video allows exposure to traffic in multiple numbers as they walk by, and creates more opportunity for questions and comments that your sales people can take advantage of.

But wait, is that all there is? Thousands of dollars invested, and 3-4 days of exposure? What about the one’s you missed? Just wait till next year? Hardly seems fair, my friend.

That’s where regenerative marketing kicks in and takes it to the next level…

By converting the trade show displays video content to streaming video and placing it in a predominant position on the company website, we gain the advantage of “regenerative marketing”. What exactly is that? Simply put, it is the ability to take the company’s primary message, as used in the tradeshow(s), and make it available to anyone who either on their own, visits the company website, or is directed there by any means such as company sales reps, e-mail campaigns, postcard flyers, etc. Thousands more opportunities to expose new prospects to your primary marketing message, and as a bonus, have them see you as even bigger and more polished than you competition.

Bottom line is, you need to maximize your marketing efforts, and regenerative marketing campaigns are fresh, new way to do it!

Trade Show Exhibits And Marketing Products

May 10th, 2008

Trade show displays will always be necessary to better enable companies to market their product be it business to business or business to consumer. However, over the years the cost of attending trade shows has gone up dramatically. While cost for design and materials for display exhibits has risen the expenses involved in drayage, shipping, cost of square footage, set up and take down, transportation and hotels have skyrocketed off the charts. This has been exasperated by the cost of fuel and its effect on the shipping industry. Many companies are betwixt and between in how to develop new strategies to market their products effectively at trade show displays and at the same time finding their way to critical cost savings.

More now than ever before we find many companies moving from custom made trade show exhibits to booths utilizing modular construction which includes the newest generation of pop up displays. With the new technological innovations in both categories of booths, companies are now finding modular construction and pop up systems to be their solution.

Through the use of clever design, modular panel, truss, as well as modular pop up systems can now engender the custom look and feel with out the heavy price tag of custom booths. Some of the features that are found in these systems are best represented in the concept of scalability. New features to the modular trade show displays systems can be added over time. Lighting, motion, interchanging graphics, video, are but a few examples of how companies can easily work the scalability concept into their marketing budget which translates into dollars saved and better spent. Companies are finding ways to “grow” there trade who booths with this new added flexibility.

The modular construction concept especially proves itself when using panel, truss and pop up displays for there trade show booths. Because of modular materials and design these booths can be easily reconfigured to accommodate different size spaces be they inline, peninsula or island footage. The wheel need not be reinvented. In addition these systems can be easily expanded as the companies decide to extend their reach or presence at trade show events. Modular display systems enjoy easy set up and take down which mitigates against the cost of labor at trade show events.

Pop Up displays for trade shows have no doubt shown the biggest leap in technology. The configurations seem to be limited only by imagination. Today’s pop up booths now allow for the same advantages in size reconfiguration as do the modular panel systems. We now see now see high rising towers, hanging bridges, gull wing, circular, serpentines, full walls, back lit panels, incorporated into designs to name just a few of these technologically driven advantages. Set up and take down more often than not can be done by company staff. As with the modular panel displays more often than not the booths can be shipped via fedx or ups.

Companies seemed to have found a “new way to go” in cost savings by using modular display and pop up systems without sacrificing their presentation at trade show events. Good Luck!!
