Sharp unveiled a 108 inch LCD TV some time back, but it didn’t reach the market until June, 2008, first being introduced in Europe. If you’re excited about this development, you might discover that you’ll have a little trouble fitting it into the family LCD TV entertainment budget. It’ll be released in the U.S. in September, 2008.
Hold on to your hat. The price tag is 120,000 Euros, or about $185,000 in U.S. dollars. So, even when it becomes available in America, you probably won’t be casually browsing for one in your local Costco. And, even it you can’t live without one, bear in mind that it’s 7.8 feet high. So, you might have to expand your home theater space to accommodate it.
In any event, you may want to hold off for a while, since we know that prices usually do fall. In this case, you may find it’ll become affordable in about 2050.
